I was previously a beginner and wanted something with more features (voices and bass chords) without paying too much.

I tried a few similar priced instruments in music shops but they either felt or sounded cheap or only had a small bass side.

I took a calculated risk buying from Thomann but have always been pleased in the past with their instruments (I have a concertina from them) and other products.

Quality is excellent - keys and buttons feel firm and even, sound is great - plenty to fill a folk club or pub.

I think (hope) Ive improved, but I certainly havent outgrown it.

Carrying bag is good but starting to show its age around the handle and strap joints (I have restitched to reinforce).

I would definitely recommend this as a student instrument and expect to use it for many years to come.

But to be honest, it is a very interersting one A lot of nice sounds, nice to experiment with.

The only thing I pity though is the fact that the accordeon is pretty heavy Thats normal, but it doesnt make practice for me easy.

The sound is more suitable for musettes and folkmusic (search Boombal folk on youtube.).
